Feedback Type
Selects the type of the input feedback signal.
Setting: single rudder
The input signal is read from the feedback unit of a single
rudder steering gear.
The RAC’s serial data outputs transmit the own rudder angle
as the “starboard (or single) rudder sensor angle” in the $--
RSA sentence. The “port rudder sensor angle” will be trans-
mitted as a null field.
starboard rudder
The input signal is read from the starboard feedback unit of
a dual rudder steering gear.
The RAC’s serial data outputs transmit the own rudder angle
as the “starboard (or single) rudder sensor angle” in the $--
RSA sentence. If a valid port rudder angle is read from a sec-
ond Rudder Angle Calibrator at the serial input, it will be
transmitted as the “port rudder sensor angle” in the $--RSA
sentence.
port rudder
The input signal is read from the port feedback unit of a dual
rudder steering gear.
The RAC’s serial data output transmits the own rudder angle
as the “port rudder sensor angle” in the $--RSA sentence. If
a valid starboard rudder angle is read from a second RAC at
the serial input, it will be transmitted as the “starboard (or
single) rudder sensor angle” in the $--RSA sentence.
