In the example for PGM3, S4 has been illuminated to show a Maintain
Load (auto “top up” function) for 2.0 minutes. In the example this
segment could possibly be edited for a different maintain hold time or a
hold load (
no auto “top up”) function.
The Programming Screen will show the P# and an appropriate S#
when creating a program. After Exiting the Programming Screen, the
Operation Screen will display the P# and the appropriate S# when the
program is actually running the press.
Creating a Program
Each program can consist of up to 10 segments (S#’s). Each segment
will describe a particular step for the press to carry out within the
program sequence. See PGM3 for a typical Screen Display for a
particular segment step. (e.g program P4 and segment S4).
To create a new program the following sequence of steps are carried
out. As an example, the steps will be shown for the creation of a
program P4 on the Atlas™ Auto 40T press as the example at PGM1.
A) Applies a load at 15 Tons.
B) Holds the 15Tons load for 2 minutes.
C) Releases the applied load to 7 Tons at a medium rate.
D) Applies a load at 20 Tons.
E) Maintains the 20 Tons load (with auto “top up”) for 2 minutes.
F) Releases the applied load to 0 Tons at a slow rate.
G) Set End-step of program.
