Transmitter SpO
2
PCBA Description (90343/91343 only)
The 90343/91343 SpO
2
circuit is contained on its own PCBA. It
connects to the patient via pulse oximetry clip-on finger or
disposable sensors. It acquires and processes SpO
2
signals with its
own SpO
2
CPU. Saturation, pulse rate, and status data are sent to
the auxiliary channel on the transmitter.
The SpO
2
PCBA also interfaces to the 90217 ABP monitor to provide
an optional external NIBP parameter. The NIBP measurement data is
sent along with SpO
2
data to the auxiliary channel on the
transmitter. Refer to Drawing 3 for the PCBA block diagram.
Definitions and Acronyms
Electrical Requirements
The SpO
2
requires the following power supplies from the
transmitter PCBA:
The typical power input to the SpO
2
is 80 mW. In this configuration,
approximately 38 mW is transmitted through the front end PCBA to
the patient transducers, leaving approximate heat dissipation of 42
mW inside the transmitter.
