FastSat Settings and Data Averaging Settings
FastSat setting enables rapid tracking of arterial oxygen saturation changes. It
is recommended in any clinical environment that requires the most rapid
response for either treatment or assessment. It is not recommended for routine
use as the increased fidelity will also increase the frequency of alarms.
Data averaging feature smoothes the oximetry saturation value by averaging
patient input values over several seconds. The averaging time can be
manually selected from 2 to 16 seconds.
FastSat is automatically enabled whenever data averaging is set to 2-4 or 4-6
