FTS Systems LyoStar™ II 

Optional Liquid Nitrogen Trap-Auto Filling

Cleaning 

 

Make sure that the trap is off line and that power has been turned off on the

LN2 level controller.  

 

Break vacuum by removing the drain plug.  

2.

 

Carefully raise the sensor 

3.

Note: The sensor tube material is fragile. Use care when raising and lowering the level 
sensor.  

 

Loosen the black thumb screws and raise the lid up the shaft. Do not lift the

lid off the top of the shaft. 

  

 

 

Retighten the thumb screws to hold the lid in the elevated position.  

5.

 

The inner reservoir can removed and cleaned.  

6.

 

Drain the condensate using the drain line then wipe out the outer reservoir.  

7.

 

Once cleaned, loosen the thumbs screws again and lower the lid.  

8.

 

Align and secure the latches.  

9.

 

Carefully lower sensor all the way back into the reservoir.
