Operation
Read and completely familiarize all personnel with Safe Handling and Storage 1.
of Liquified Gases before proceeding. Also, review the Liquid Level Controller
Manual.
Verify that all three latches have been closed and that the reservoir cover is 2.
secure and that the level sensor is in position. Sensor should be inserted as
far as it will go.
Note: If sensor is not fully inserted, liquid nitrogen will overflow out of the vent.
Note: The vent line should not be obstructed in any way to avoid pressure build up.
Open the supply valve (where applicable). 3.
Turn on the level controller and allow time for the reservoir to fill (The low 4.
level alarm will need to be muted until liquid level rises above the end of the
sensor).
Note: If cover is not seated, the proximity sensor will prevent the solenoid from
opening.
When the liquid level reaches 4 inches, the controller will shut the solenoid. 5.
To put the trap on-line, open the inlet and outlet valves and close the bypass 6.
valve.
