Installation
The S Amplifier should be attached to the S in the final stages of assembly of
the S. The S should be fully assembled with the exception of the two side
panels covering the wiring.
The top cover of the S Amp should be attached to the bottom of the S with the
4 Philips pan head screws and washers (provided). Screw down from the S into the
four screw holes to attach to the four screw holes in the lid of the S Amp.
Once the S Amp is connected to the S, you are ready to make the necessary
audio connections. The audio input connection is pre-terminated with a 5-position terminal block
connector for easy connection to the SP Controls AFVP+ Preamp Switcher (SP3-AFVP+). The
audio out to the speakers are called out below in
Technical Specifications
. Connect audio out to
your speaker wire with the wire nuts provided. All wires should be routed up along the open sides
of the S before the sides are attached. Power should be routed up one side and
speaker/line level on the other.
The final step of installation is to complete assembly of the S by reattaching the left and
right sides of the unit. The bottom front corners of the S sides are cut with two screw
holes to secure the sides of the S which cover the wiring. Instead of using the short
screws included with the S, use the two long screws included with the S Amp.
They should screw up through the front corners of the S Amp and into the bottom of the
side panels of the S to secure the sides.
