Adjusting the Contrast of the Printer
Window Display
When it is hard to read the contents of the printer window
display, adjust the contrast using the menu.

Display the SYSTEM SETUP menu from the
PRINTER SETUP menu.

Select the LCD-CNTR. item, then adjust the contrast
of the printer window display.
Note
When the slider is set to the far left, the setting will appear
as OFF, and the printer window display will remain blank.
However, error messages will still be displayed.
Setting the Tray Light
Select the function of the printer’s tray light.

Display the SYSTEM SETUP menu from the
PRINTER SETUP menu.

Select TRAY LIGHT, then select the tray light
function.
Setting the Cleaning Message
Display Function
Select whether to display a message requesting thermal
head cleaning. This message appears for approximately 6
seconds after you press the

POWER switch to turn on
the printer.

Select CLEAN DISP., then select whether to display
the message.
Selecting Whether the Operation and
Error Tones Sound
Whenever you press a button on the front door, the
operation tone sounds (one time). When an error occurs,
the alarm tone sounds (three times). You can turn these
tones on and off using the menu.
