3.1.2
XYGATEDP Installation Location
When the XDP library has been installed for the first time into an application location, a
file is also created in the same location. It is a copy of the <xygatedp-
loc>.DPCONFAP file ("template application Init file"). It contains the name of the
XYGATEDP macro and the XYGATEDP installation location.
During subsequent installations of the XDP library in an application location where the
XDP library has previously been installed, validation is performed to ensure sure both
the XYGATEDP macro name and XYGATEDP installation location specified in the
<application-loc>.DPCONFAP matches the values in the <xygatedp-loc>.DPCONFAP.
Installing the XDP library from a different XYGATEDP installation
If you want to change the XYGATEDP location or macro name that an application
location points to, or if you want to update the XDP library, the XDP library from each
application in the application location must be uninstalled first.
When all the applications in a subvolume have had the XDP library uninstalled, the
<application-loc>.DPCONFAP file must be manually purged to allow the installation of
a XDP library from a different XYGATEDP installation location, or to allow the
installation of a XDP library from a XYGATDP installation with a macro name different
from the value used for the prior XDP library installation. The <application-
loc>.DPCONFAP file must be purged manually because there is no check to see when
the last application on a subvolume has had the XDP library removed.
A new version of the <application-loc>.DPCONFAP will be created automatically as
part of the installation of the XDP library when installing it into the first application of an
application location.
If the <application-loc>.DPCONFAP is not purged and an attempt to install the XDP
library from a location that is different from the value specified in that file, or an attempt
to install the XDP library from a location whose macro name is different from the value
specified in that file, the XDP library installation will not be allowed.

Run Your Application
Below is an example of how to configure and run the XDPENCR program. The input
file must be defined for XDP in the DPACL file before XDPENCR can be run. The
steps for doing this are the following:
1.
In the DPACL file, define a FILEDEF for the input file.
FILEDEF XDPENCR
FILE $SYSTEM.XDPDATA.TESTIN
FIELD FPE FIELD_POSITION 0:16
