Chapter 1. Installing XDP
This chapter describes the methods of installing or upgrading the XYGATEDP files,
updating the XYGATE licenses and then guides you through the process of securing
your installation.
1.1
Before You Begin
Ensure that you have reviewed and completed the following procedures before you
begin installing the XDP software.
1.1.1
Voltage SecureData Management
Instructions for installing the Voltage SecureData Management console can be found
in the
Voltage SecureData Administrator Guide
. When the Voltage SecureData
Management console has been successfully installed, it must be configured to operate
with XDP.
If you are planning to use Voltage Secure Stateless Tokenization (Voltage SST), then
that requires additional setup steps. For instructions on how to set up Voltage SST,
refer to
, “Setting up Tokenization in XDP.”
SSL certificates are required for the HPE NonStop system to communicate with the
Voltage SecureData Management console. Refer to the section “SSL Certificates
Overview” in the
Voltage SecureData Administrator Guide
for more information about
SSL certificates, and also the next section about installing SSL certificates into XDP.
Obtaining and Installing the SSL Certificate
Please contact your Voltage administrator to obtain the certificate file. Once you have
obtained the certificate, you must install it on the HPE NonStop system as the
TRUSTSTR file in the XYGATEDP installation location.
Notes:
1.
The binary (not ASCII) option should be used to transfer the certificate file to the
HPE NonStop server.
2.
The certificate file should be in PEM format: BASE64 format, delimited by:
-----BEGIN CERTIFICATE-----
–and–
-----END CERTIFICATE-----
