3-2. CIRCUIT DESCRIPTIONS
3-2-1. Digital Block
SX-M700/M100
The microprocessor on the CPU-181 board controls the
microphones of the chairman and all delegate units (D/CU)
which are connected to the SX-M700/M100. It also
processes the hauling suppression.
Communication of the control information is established
by writing and reading to and from the DPRAM.
The I/O port of the DPRAM transfers data of 60 D/CUs in
half-duplex mode with the data of 15 D/CUs packed into
one I/O block. The data are transferred in time-shared
serial data communication, which is periodically controlled
by the timing generator.
The digital block supplies the mute signal only to the audio
circuitry. This mute signal is used to protect the original
(ORG) line from the noise of a D/CU line if all units of the
D/CU line have switched off the microphones. The mute
signal is output only when all microphones of a line are
switched off.
The SLOW signal is created by the switch on the
interpreter’s unit (IPU). When the SLOW signal is
created, the microprocessor issues the blinking command
to the chairman’s unit.
If the SXA-120 expansion board is installed, the
microphone control and hauling suppression processing are
carried out by the SXA-120 microprocessor, not by the
CPU-181 microprocessor. The communication interface
with all D/CUs therefore handles these processings.
SX-E120
The SX-E120 has almost the same circuit configuration as
the SX-M700/M100. However, the SX-E120 operates
only when the SXA-120 is installed in the SX-M700 or
SX-M100 and is connected to the SX-E120.
The SXA-120 microprocessor handles the microphone
control and hauling suppression rather than the I/O port of
the DPRAM, so the communication interface with all D/
CUs handles these processings.
The mute control over the audio signals are exactly the
same as the SX-M700/M100.
SXA-120
The SXA-120 (CPU-188 board) can be installed in the SX-
M700 as an option.
The SXA-120 microprocessor handles the microphone
control and hauling suppression processing of a maximum
of 120 D/CU units connected through the TTL
communication (9600 bps) with the CPU-181 board of the
SX-M700, or the RS-232C communication (9600 bps)
with the CPU-181 board of the SX-E120.
The character layout (sheet assignment) on the display,
microphone control from the SX-8300 and related hauling
suppression processing are carried out by the RS-422A
communication (9600 bps) with the microphone control
unit SX-8300 (option). The sheet assignment information
is saved in the E
2
PROM.
The RS-232C terminal (9600 bps) can be connected to a
personal computer. (Software is optional.)
The audio signals are passed through the digital block.
The DC 24V power supply in the SX-M700/M100 and the
other DC 24V from the SX-E120 are output to the
microphone control units. The main power of the SX-
E120 is switched on and off by the DC 24V of the SX-
M700/M100.
The DC 24V power is supplied to the models SX-S100 and
SX-S150 to drive the POWER REMOTE relay.
