Chapter 2 Preparations

Turning Off the Cache Server

Caution

Do not perform settings operations from the controls on the front of the cache
server.

Open the front panel on the cache server, and press the POWER button.

After the message below appears on the LCD display, the cache server will
turn off. (It will take several minutes to turn off.)

Caution

Do not hold down the POWER button for more than 4 seconds. This will
force an immediate shutdown, which could affect the system adversely.

Accessing the Web Administration Screen

You can access the web administration screen using a web browser.

Note

Operating procedures in this manual are illustrated using Windows 2000, but
similar procedures can be performed from other operating systems.

Open the web browser on the computer you will use to configure settings,
which should be connected to the FSV-VN5 system over the network.

In the [Address] or [Location] field,
input “http://XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:24000”.

Replace “XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX” with the IP address for the main server,
and append “:24000” as shown.
(Default) 192.168.1.254:24000

The [Login to HNF] screen appears.
