Chapter 2 Basic Use
LED Indicators
There are the LED indicators on the front and rear on the FSV-M3 that indicate
its operational status.
Front
Notes
• When you are continuously accessing the HDD for some time, the LED
indicator lights green continuously. When you access the HDD sporadically,
the LED indicator alternates between green and amber.
• To replace a hard disk, be sure to perform the procedure outlined in
“Replacing a Hard Disk” (page 43).
Rear
Data Backup
The data stored on the server can be copied to other computers connected to the
network for backup.
Sony recommends that you periodically back up data as a precaution against the
unlikely occurrence of problems.
Caution
Sony does not bear any responsibility for partial or total loss of data due to hard
disk malfunctions of or mishandling by users.
