Note

When you do not intend to use the camcorder for a long
time, take out the cassette to protect the tape and turn off
the power.

The following procedure prevents cassettes from
being recorded inadvertently.

Before recording, it is necessary to set the
following items.
• System signal format
• Audio signals
• Recording audio levels
• Timecode and user bits

Use the VTR >SYSTEM Setup menu to make
settings related to system signal format.

To display SYSTEM Setup menu

Press the menu selection button “SYSTEM”.

To set with FORMAT

Turn the SELECT/ENTER dial to
select FORMAT, and then press the
dial.

A submenu window appears.

Preventing Accidental Erasure

Push the plug in.

To reuse the cassette,
return the plug to its
original position.
