Content
When referring to Content we are talking about the
Composition Playlist. A CPL is comprised of the actual
track files, each of a single essence type (e.g., sound,
image, subtitles), and references required to play these
files. The CPL is always at the base level of a Show
Playlist hierarchy.
The Content menu
selection

allows you to
access the information
and control functions for
the following areas.

• Ingest KDM

To access Content menus, tap
Menu
and then tap
Content
.
The Content Menus appear.
The Content Listing menu selection opens the Content List
which contains a list of all CPL present in the system. The
primary control available on the Content List pane is the
PLAY/STOP control and the Details button.
The Transfer Status menu selection opens the TRANSFER
STATUS pane which displays information and controls
relating to the progress of DCP being ingested into the
Media Block controlled storage. Available controls are;
Details, Remove Job, Cancel Job, Pause Jobs.
The Manage DCP menu selection opens the MANAGE
DCP pane where you can view Details of any of the listed
DCP, Delete an existing DCP, or Validate a previously
ingested DCP.
The Local Ingest menu selection opens the LOCAL
INGEST pane which displays a list of predefined folders
where DCPs may be found. These folders are defined
using the SMS Controller. Each folder can contain more
than one DCP. The only control available on the LOCAL
INGEST pane is the Ingest control. By repeating the Ingest
step, multiple DCPs may be ingested in succession.
The Network Ingest selection opens the NETWORK
INGEST pane for ingesting a DCP via the network. Source
addresses can be added via S2S Source.
The PWI menu selection opens the PLAY WHILE
INGEST pane which allows you to control ingest of a CPL
from an external library server via the network. The source
address can be added with the PWI Source menu selection.
The Ingest KDM menu selection opens the INGEST KDM
pane which displays a list of predefined folders where
KDMs may be found. These folders are defined using the
SMS Controller. Each folder can contain more than one
KDM. The controls available on the INGEST KDM pane
are Details and the Ingest control.
The S2S Source selection opens the S2S SOURCE pane,
which shows a list of source addresses that can be used to
perform Ingest via the network.
The S2S Network Setup selection opens the S2S
NETWORK SETUP pane, which shows S2S address
allocation information.
The PWI Source menu selection opens the PWI SOURCE
pane which displays the address, login name, and
password assignments for the library server.
Content Listing
The CONTENT LIST pane displays all Composition
Playlists (CPLs) resident in Media Block controlled
storage. Brief details of any of the listed CPL are available.

The primary control
available on Content
List is the PLAY/STOP
control. In addition, a
Details button is
available which opens a
popup containing
detailed information
about the selected Content.
The central portion of the Content List pane is a list of all
Composition Playlists (CPL) resident in Media Block
controlled storage. Any CPL which is not available for
presentation because the KDM is not available or invalid
is indicated with a padlock as illustrated. A CPL that is
incomplete is shown in red.
