1-1-1. Self-diagnosis Function
If an error occurs in this unit, the self-diagnosis function starts working and a code consisting of one alphabet and a five-
digit number appears on the LCD. Classification of persons in charge, classification of faulty blocks, and details of errors
can be checked by referring to this indication of six alphanumeric characters in the self-diagnosis code table.
The history of past errors can be checked in “Usage and Diag record” on the DATA tab of the Adjust Manual.
The self-diagnosis function is also described in the operation manual.

A0-000 System error by software Ask the headquarters about correction of this error.
E10-005 Lens overheating IC1301 on the VC-1030 board, IC6401 on the LD-1016 board, or the
peripheral circuit may be faulty.
Replace the faulty VC-1030 board, LD-1016 board, and/or the lens
block.
E10-006 Lens overheating IC1301 on the VC-1030 board, IC6401 on the LD-1016 board, or the
peripheral circuit may be faulty.
Replace the faulty VC-1030 board, LD-1016 board, and/or the lens
block.
E10-007 Handshake correction function does
not work well SE8501 on the GY-1006 board or the peripheral circuit may be faulty.
Replace the GY-1006 board.
E10-008 Handshake correction function does
not work well SE8501 on the GY-1006 board or the peripheral circuit may be faulty.
Replace the GY-1006 board.
E10-009 Image vibration correction during
handshake function does not work SE8501 on the GY-1006 board or the peripheral circuit may be faulty.
Replace the GY-1006 board.
E10-101 Abnormalities in initialization of the
zoom lens IC1301 on the VC-1030 board, IC6001/IC6201/IC6301 on the
LD-1016 board, or the peripheral circuit may be faulty.
Replace the faulty VC-1030 board, LD-1016 board, and/or the lens
block.
E10-102 Abnormalities in initialization of the
focus lens and abnormalities in initi-
alization of the zoom lens occurred
simultaneously IC1301 on the VC-1030 board, IC6001/IC6201/IC6301 on the
LD-1016 board, or the peripheral circuit may be faulty.
Replace the faulty VC-1030 board, LD-1016 board, and/or the lens
block.
E10-103 Abnormalities in initialization of the
lens IC1301 on the VC-1030 board or the peripheral circuit may be faulty.
Replace the faulty VC-1030 board and/or the lens block.
E10-104 Abnormalities in initialization of the
lens IC1301 on the VC-1030 board, IC6401 on the LD-1016 board, or the
peripheral circuit may be faulty.
Replace the faulty VC-1030 board, LD-1016 board, and/or the lens
block.
E10-10A Focus lens initializing failure IC1301 on the VC-1030 board, IC6001/IC6201/IC6301 on the
LD-1016 board, or the peripheral circuit may be faulty.
