Updating the Firmware
You can update the firmware on this unit.
You can download firmware update files
from the Sony Web site. For more
information on obtaining the update files,
contact your Sony representative.
After obtaining a firmware update file, store
it in the root directory of an SxS memory
card.
Note
Do not store more than one firmware update file
(*.prg) in the root directory of the SxS memory
card. If a previous firmware update file exists in
the root directory, delete it or move it to another
location.

Connect the AC adaptor to the DC IN
connector on the unit. Connect the
power cord to the AC adaptor, and
connect to an AC power source.
When updating the firmware, always
connect the AC adaptor and use AC
power.

Insert the SxS memory card containing
the firmware update file into the card
slot.

Select SETUP in the main menu, and
press the SET button.

Select FIRMWARE, and press the
SET button.

Select UPDATE, and press the SET
button.

After the confirmation message
appears, select OK and press the SET
button.
Firmware update begins. Do not turn
off the unit while update is in progress.
Firmware update completes in about
two minutes.

Turn off the unit after the update
completion message appears.
After update is complete, remove the
firmware update file from the root
directory of the SxS memory card.
