Recording
button
Displays the
Recording Assistant
window. Select a source icon and a target
icon.

Source icons
As a source you can use:
- the
Music drive
: files from the music database
Music Drive
managed by
SonicStage, or the audio files registered to a playlist on the
Music Drive
.
- a
CD
: files from an audio-CD or CD-R.
- a
MD
: files from a MiniDisc inserted into a Net MD* slot.
- a
MS
: files from a MagicGate Memory Stick™ inserted into a Memory Stick™*
slot.
-
Devices/Media
: files from a Network Walkman or an external NetMD device.

Import
button
Displays the
Import
window. You can use this window to import audio files
stored on the computer into the
Music
Drive
and register them to a
Playlist
.

Simple Mode
button
Switches the
Main
window to
Simple Mode
. You can also switch to
Simple
Mode
by clicking the shortcut key
<F11>
.

Close
button
Closes SonicStage.

Help
button
Displays the help file.

Operation
area
The
Playback area

Content area
or
Edit area
are displayed in this area.

Menu
button
Displays the main menu of SonicStage.

Volume control
buttons
Here you can:

turn the sound off or on ;

turn the volume down;

turn the volume up.

Equalizer
button
In the
Equalizer
menu:
- you can select a preset equalizer setting: flat, rock, pop, jazz or classical;
- put the equalizer off;
- change the equalizer settings.
