Communicating without an Access Point (peer-to-peer)
A peer-to-peer network is a network in which a local network is created only by the wireless devices
themselves with no other central controller or Access Point. Each device communicates directly with other
devices in the network. You can set up a peer-to-peer network easily at home.
To communicate without Access Point (peer-to-peer mode), proceed as follows:

Insert the Wireless LAN PC Card bundled with your computer (see
Inserting the Wireless LAN PC Card

Click the network icon
in the taskbar.
The
Sony Wireless LAN
Client Manager
dialog box appears.

Click the
Actions
menu and choose
Add/Edit Configuration Profile
.
The
Add/Edit Configuration Profile
dialog box appears.
Note that you can also access this dialog box by clicking
Start
, point to
Settings
,
Control Panel
and
select
Wireless Network
.

Click the
Add
button.
The
Edit Configuration
dialog box appears.
