Using programmable power keys
The
VAIO Action Setup
software enables you to start your favorite software by simply pressing a
programmable power key (PPK)
.
This section briefly describes how to use programmable power keys. You can also refer to the VAIO Action
Setup Help for more detailed information.

Click in the
Start
-menu on
All Programs-VAIO Action Setup-VAIO Action Setup
.
The
VAIO Action Setup
dialog box appears.

Click on the icon representing the key combination you want to use to launch automatically your
application.
The
Select Application
screen appears.

Select the application you need by using the browse options to the left.

Click
Next
.

Confirm the name and path of the selected application.

Click
Next
.

Select the configuration name for the selected application, and enter a description if needed.

Click
Finish
.
You can use the internal timer to start software at a specific time. The timer can start applications even when the computer is in
Hibernate
mode.
