Step 4: Installing an IP Converter
The settings are applied to the IP converter.
The [Synchronize] button on the [Edit Virtual Device]
screen changes to blue if settings are applied
successfully.

Click the [Synchronize] button.
• If IP converter settings are edited on the [Edit Virtual
Device] screen and then you switch to the [Detail
setting] screen without clicking the [Save & Apply]
button, the changes made on the [Edit Virtual Device]
screen will be discarded when the [Save & Apply] button
is clicked on the [Detail setting] screen.
• If IP converter settings are edited on the [Detail setting]
screen and then you switch to the [Edit Virtual Device]
screen without clicking the [Save & Apply] button, the
changes made on the [Detail setting] screen will be
discarded when the [Save & Apply] button is clicked on
the [Edit Virtual Device] screen.
• After clicking the [Synchronize] button, an error dialog
may appear. If this occurs, click the [Synchronize]
button again.
• After clicking the [Synchronize] button, the changes
may not be reflected on the settings screen. If this occurs,
click the [Synchronize] button again.
IP Converter Configuration
Procedure
Configure the various settings of an IP converter using the
[Edit Virtual Device] screen and [Detail setting] screen in
Network System Manager.
For details about displaying each screen, preparations
before configuration, and writing configuration data, see
“Basic IP Converter Configuration Operations”
(page 33)

Setting the name
You can set the name of an IP converter.
Set the name of the IP converter in [Name] on the [Edit
Virtual Device] screen.
The default value is set to the serial number (number
displayed on the bottom of the IP converter). Check the
serial number on the bottom of the IP converter when
setting a name.
Setting IP addresses
You can set a static IP address for an IP converter.
First, register the Network System Manager static IP
address in the IP converter. Next, configure the static IP
address of the IP converter.

Select the [MAIN] or [SUB] address from [Network
System Manager Address List] on the [System] tab of
the [Edit Virtual Device] screen.

Click the [Edit] button.
The [Edit] dialog appears.
