Wiring design
Design the length of the LAN cables (Cat 5e or higher) according to the installation
location. The maximum length of Cat 5e cable is 100 m. Design the PoE hub
installation location so that the distance is less than this length.
7.3. Audio design
Based on the installation design, the outputs of two MAS-A100 units will be connected
to a speech reinforcement amplifier and a remote communication device.
Speech reinforcement system
A Dante DAC ADP-DAO-AU-0X2 (No. 4 in “Network device list” (page 86)) is used as
the speech reinforcement system output.
Two analog outputs are connected to the line inputs of a speech reinforcement mixer
(SRP-X500 in this example) using an adaptor cable. The audio input from the two
MAS-A100 units can be connected to the L/R channels of an SRP-X500 mixer
operating in SYSTEM TYPE 4 or SYSTEM TYPE 5 configuration, with output from the
loudspeakers as monaural audio. If using a third-party amplifier that does not have a
mixdown function from stereo to mono, use the following third-party adaptor cable.
