software

computer for using the “Title Updater” software,
see page 77.
Notes on the Internet connection
You cannot obtain title information if your computer is
not connected to the Internet.
Correct online title searching may not be possible,
depending on your Internet environment.
If you cannot connect to the Internet, carry out the
network connection settings (page 51).
Notes on Gracenote® Music
Recognition Service
The accuracy of the data provided by the Gracenote®
Music Recognition Service are not fully guaranteed.
The unit’s factory-installed database is current as of
October, 2008.
Tip
Windows Vista screens are used for the explanation in
this section.
Exporting album information
to a USB storage device
This section explains how to export album
information for which you have no title
information to a USB storage device. When
you perform this function for the first time, the
application (Title Updater) will be automatically
exported to the USB storage device as well.

Connect the USB storage device to
the (USB) port on the unit.

Press HDD to select the HDD
function, and then press TITLE
UPDATE on the main unit.
The title update menu appears.

Press
/
to select “Export”, and
then press ENTER.
The export menu appears.

Press
/
to select “All Non Titled”,
and then press ENTER.
All album information that has no title
information (“export.dat”) is exported to
the USB storage device. The “Title Updater”
software (“TitleUpdater.exe”) is automatically
exported at this time as well.

When “Complete!” appears, remove
the USB storage device from the unit.
To remove the USB storage device
from the unit
When removing the USB storage device, press
WM-PORT/USB to select the WM-PORT/USB
function, press and hold
until “Device Stop”
appears in the display, and then remove the USB
storage device.
