Set the date and time when you use your
camcorder for the first time.

Tips
• If you do not use your camcorder for
about 3
months
, the built-in rechargeable battery gets
discharged and the date and time settings may
be cleared from the memory. In that case,
charge the rechargeable battery and then set the
date and time again (p. 127).
When you set the date and time again, press
the MENU button, and select
(OTHERS)

Select your area by turning the
SEL/PUSH EXEC dial, then press
the dial.

Set [SUMMERTIME], [Y] (year),
[M] (month), [D] (day), hour and
minute, by turning the SEL/PUSH
EXEC dial, then press the dial.
The clock starts.
• Set [SUMMERTIME] to [ON] to move the
time forward 1 hour.
• You can set any year up to the year 2037.
• Midnight is indicated as 12:00 AM, and
noon as 12:00 PM.

Tips
• The date and time are automatically recorded on
the selected recording media, and can be
displayed during playback (DATA CODE
button, p. 68).
• Once the clock is set, the clock time is
automatically adjusted with [AUTO CLOCK
ADJ] (p. 101) and [AUTO AREA ADJ] (p. 101)
set to [ON]. The clock may not be adjusted to
the correct time automatically, depending on the
country/region selected for your camcorder. In
this case, set [AUTO CLOCK ADJ] and [AUTO
AREA ADJ] to [OFF].
You can change the on-screen displays to
show messages in a specified language.
Press the MENU button and select
(OTHERS) with the SEL/PUSH
EXEC dial. Select the screen language in
[LANGUAGE] (p. 100).
