Internal Memory Encryption
You may secure your content further by choosing to
encrypt the internal memory. After internal memory
encryption is enabled, you must enter your memory
encryption password when powering on the device.
When you enable device encryption, the internal
memory will be formatted. If there is any content in
memory it will be deleted. Before memory encryption
is enabled, make sure to back up all the data to a
computer via USB.
1
Press the
(Home) button and tap [Settings].

memory encryption, all content on the device will
be deleted and cannot be recovered.
