• If the MD play mode is set to the Repeat Play or
Shuffle Play, the play mode switches to Normal Play
in step 5.
• The following items are either inoperative or cannot
be used during recording a CD or CD layer part of
Super Audio CD in CD-MD Synchro Recording:
– The Auto Cut Function
– The Track Mark Function
• The tracks are recorded with a recording level of
0.0 dB regardless of the recording level value set in
the Setup Menu.
• The “LFE” setting in “Speaker Settings”
automatically switches to “OFF”, even if it was
previously set to “ON” in the settings screen (see
page 33).
• You cannot change the surround sound effects
setting during recording (see page 66).

You can easily record tracks you like to MD
while listening to a disc.
Open the lid before performing the following
operations.

Load a recordable MD.

Press FUNCTION repeatedly to select
DVD.

Move SA-CD/DVD stick to
NX
.
Playback starts.

Press REC/REC IT on the unit while
listening to a track you want to record.
Play returns to the start of the track and
recording starts. The MD deck stops
automatically at the end of the track.

Rec It recording from various
discs
• DVD/Video CD/MP3: The MD deck
performs analog recording.
With analog recording, additional tracks may
be recorded depending on the type of disc and
track being recorded. When recording from a
DVD, Rec It may not be available or single
track recording may not be possible
depending on the disc.
• Super Audio CD: The MD deck can digitally
record the CD layer just as if it were a normal
CD.
Notes
• The following functions are not available while a CD
or the CD layer of a Super Audio CD are being
recorded with Rec It.
