Creating a user profile

If your company introduces several CLIE handheld devices, a predefined
profile containing, for example, a company phone list can be transferred to
these units before deploying them to users.

Notes

• This feature is designed only for HotSync operations used for the first time, before you

assign a User ID to a particular CLIE handheld.

• For the procedure to send a profile after setting user names, see “Synchronizing with

external data created on the computer (File Link)” on page 176.

Creating a profile

Start the Palm Desktop for Sony software.

Select “Users” from the “Tools” menu.

The “Users” dialog box appears.

Click “Profiles.”
