Overview
The BKNW-116 is an external hard disk drive unit for digital video hybrid
recorders such as the DNW-A100/A100P/A50/A50P/A45/A45P.
Features
By connecting this unit to a hybrid recorder, you can extend the hard disk
recording capacity of the hybrid recorder to 6 hours.
This unit has the following additional features:
• Using the hybrid recorder menus, you can divide the extended hard disk
recording capacity into a maximum of four zones.
• The unit includes a warming-up circuit, allowing it to be used in low-
temperature conditions.
• If a fault occurs, the ALARM indicator gives a warning.
• The unit has the same vibration resistance as the hybrid recorder.
• The unit can be mounted in an EIA standard 19-inch rack.
Connections
Using the supplied SCSI cable, connect the unit to the SCSI connector of
the hybrid recorder.

If the other SCSI connector on this unit is not connected to another device, connect the
SCSI terminator supplied with the hybrid recorder. Fasten the SCSI terminator securely
with the screws.
