Enjoying Karaoke
You can enjoy karaoke features by setting
this player to karaoke mode. You can connect
up to two microphones to the player.

Plug a microphone into the MIC 1 or
MIC 2 jack.
The player enters karaoke mode, and
“
” appears on your TV screen.

Start audio playback by following the
steps in “Playing a Disc” (page 14) or
“Playing from a USB Device”
(page 15).
To set the player to karaoke mode without
connecting a microphone
Press OPTIONS, select [KARAOKE Mode],
and select [On].

• The Control Menu does not appear when there is
no inserted disc or connected USB device.
• Press AUDIO on the remote to select the
soundtrack.
To cancel [KARAOKE Mode]
Disconnect the microphone, or set
[KARAOKE Mode] to [Off].

Before connecting, set the microphone volume to
minimum.
To add echo effect
Adjust the ECHO LEVEL control on the
front panel.

• If howling occurs:
– move the microphone away from the speakers.
– lower the microphone volume or echo level.
– lower the overall volume.
• You can check the audio information by pressing
AUDIO. When playing a Karaoke DVD, “K”
appears as the current audio format.
You can change the audio key to suit your
vocal range when the [KARAOKE Mode] is
set to [On].
To open the [Key Control] window
Press KEY CTRL on the remote, or press
OPTIONS and select [Key Control].
You can set the key lower or higher (-7 to +7)
using the remote [
m
] [
M
] keys.

• [
m
] [
M
] keys are disabled when maximum or
minimum value is set.
• [Key Control] value setting is only available
when [Key Control] window is displayed.
• The setting is stored until [KARAOKE Mode] is
set to [Off].
