3.2 Boot Up

1. Connect the protective earth pin at the rear panel to safety ground (earth).
2. Connect the power cable to the mains power input socket at the back of the
system.
3. Connect the mains power cable to a hospital grade receptacle with the
proper rated voltage.
4. Switch the mains power input switch ON.
Note:
The mains power switch at the rear panel is normally left ON. Use the Power
Switch button at the left side panel to switch on/off the system.
Turn on the system, the keyboard will be illuminated. It takes about 1 minute for
the system to enter preparation mode (EXAM screen).
Remarks:
• If the system had been turned off abnormally, the system startup time would
increase 30 to 60 seconds, during when the system goes through the HDD test.
• DO NOT plug in any external USB drive before the system startup completes,
otherwise the
µ
-SCAN function might be interrupted.
3.3 Patient Information
Patient information can be entered at the Patient Information window.
Press PATIENT key to open the Patient Information window. See
Figure 3.1
