12. Volume Control
The rotary encoder control on the front panel is used to set the volume
levels of the speaker, the headphones and the input levels for the various
audio sources.
Speaker & Headphone Volume
The volume control automacally switches from speaker to headphones
when a headphone jack plug is connected. To adjust the volume, turn the
rotary encoder control. The front panel display switches immediately to the
speaker or headphone volume screen which shows the current level as a
sliding scale between minimum (muted) and maximum (+12dB gain). The
volume screen will automacally close if no adjustments have been made
for 1.5 seconds. Alternavely, the screen can be closed manually by
pressing the rotary encoder.
Call Channel Volume
The volume levels of the audio from remote units assigned to the call
channel buons can be individually adjusted to compensate for varying talk
levels. This can be done during a call if required. To adjust the channel
volume, press the rotary encoder control which will then flash to indicate
that volume adjustment mode has been iniated. This mode will
automacally cancel if no further acon is taken within 3 seconds. Then
select a channel to adjust by pressing the associated channel buon. The
rotary encoder control and the selected channel buon will now flash using
the colour assigned to the default funcon for that channel, and the front
panel display immediately switches to the channel volume screen which
shows the current level as a sliding scale. Turn the rotary encoder control to
adjust the volume level. The volume screen will automacally close if no
adjustments have been made for 1.5 seconds. Alternavely, the screen can
be closed manually by pressing the rotary encoder.
Monitor Volume
The volume levels of the audio from the selected monitor sources can be
individually adjusted to compensate for varying levels. This can be done
regardless of whether the monitor channel is currently acve or not. To
adjust the monitor volume, press the rotary encoder control which will then
flash to indicate that volume adjustment mode has been iniated. This
mode will automacally cancel if no further acon is taken within 3
seconds. Then select a monitor channel to adjust by pressing the associated
monitor buon. The rotary encoder control and the selected monitor
buon will now flash green, and the front panel display immediately
switches to the volume screen for the currently selected monitor source
which shows the current level as a sliding scale. Turn the rotary encoder
control to adjust the monitor level. The volume screen will automacally
close if no adjustments have been made for 1.5 seconds. Alternavely, the
screen can be closed manually by pressing the rotary encoder.
Call Signal Volume
The volume level of the call signal routed to the speaker and headphones
can be adjusted to provide a comfortable mix level with other acve audio
sources. The call signal volume control automacally switches from speaker
to headphones when a headphone jack plug is connected. To adjust the call
signal volume, press and hold the rotary encoder control unl it starts to
flash blue. The front panel display switches to the speaker or headphone
call signal volume screen which shows the current level as a sliding scale.
The volume screen will automacally close if no adjustments have been
made for 1.5 seconds. Alternavely, the screen can be closed manually by
pressing the rotary encoder.
