7. 2. 2. Description of relay box operations (MANUAL)
(a) During maintenance, the relay box can be moved up or down with the manual up/down switch.
The relay box moves when the manual up/down switch is turned ON, and stops when it is turned
OFF.
Note) The automatic/manual switch must be switched to MANU side before this operation is
performed.
(b) During maintenance, the above mentioned manual up/down switch can be enabled when the
AUTO/MANU switch is switched to “MANU.” After maintenance, make sure to switch the AUTO/MANU
switch to “AUTO.” The operation from the indicator can be enabled after the switch is switched to
AUTO.
7. 2. 3 Operation of the emergency stop button (on the side of the relay box)
Use the emergency stop button to stop hoisting operation for safety purposes.
(Note)
If the emergency stop button is pressed in AUTO operation, hoisting operation stops. To restart the
hoisting operation, re-press the up/down switch of the indicator.
In MANU operation, if the emergency stop button is pressed while the manual up/down switch is held
down, the hoisting operation stops while the button is pressed; however, please note that the hoisting
operation re-starts as soon as the button is released.
7. 2. 4. Automatic hoisting operation
This system is equipped with a circuit that automatically raises the transducer. While the transducer
is at the lower limit or being extended, when the power on/off switch of the indicator is turned off, the
transducer will be raised automatically. After the transducer is stored into position, the power to the
circuit is turned off. Before conducting maintenance and/or inspection works, be sure to turn the
AUTO/MANUAL selector switch of the hoisting system to “MANUAL” and release this automatic
ascending circuit.
