Onboard Parallel Port
Mode
Select an operating mode for the onboard parallel
(printer) port. Select Normal, Compatible, or SPP
unless you are certain your hardware and software
both support one of the other available modes.
The choice: Normal , EPP, ECP, ECP/EPP.
UART 2 Mode The second serial port on your system may offer a
variety of infrared port modes. Click here for a de-
scription of various modes. (Click your browser’s Back
button, or your right mouse button, to return to this
page.)
IR Function Duplex Select the value required by the IR device connected
to the IR port. Full-duplex mode permits simultaneous
two-direction transmission. Half-duplex mode permits
transmission in one direction only at a time. If no in-
frared port is present in the system, select Disabled.
TX, RX inverting

This item allows you to enable the TX, RX inverting
which depends on different H/W requirement. This
field is not recommended to change its default set-
ting for avoiding any error in your system.
The choice: “No, No”, “No, Yes”(default), “Yes, No”,
“Yes, Yes”.
Onboard Serial
Port 1 / Port2
Select a logical COM port name and matching ad-
dress for the first and second serial ports. Select an
address and corresponding interrupt for the first and
second serial ports.
Onboard Parallel Port Select a logical LPT port address and corresponding
interrupt for the physical parallel port.
Onboard FDC
Controller
Select Enabled if your system has a floppy drive con-
troller (FDC) installed on the system board and you
want to use it. If you install add-in FDC or the system
has no floppy drive, select Disabled in this field.
The choice: Enabled, Disabled.
