HDD Power Down
When enabled and after the set time of system
inactivity, the hard disk drive will be powered down
while all other devices remain active.
ACPI Suspend Type
S1(POS) is for Power On Suspend under ACPI
mode. S3 (STR) is for Suspend to RAM. S3 is rec-
ommended for Win2K/XP system.
Choices: S1(POS)(default);S3(STR); S1&S3
ACPI Function
Select Enabled(default) only if your computer’s op-
erating system supports the Advanced Configura-
tion and Power Interface (ACPI) specification.
Currently, Windows 98SE/ME, Windows 2000 and
Windows XP supports ACPI.
Power Management
This option allows you to select the type (or degree)
of power saving for Doze, Standby, and Suspend
modes.
This table describes each power management
mode:
Max Saving
Min Saving
User Define
Maximum power savings. Inactivity period is 1 minute in each mode.
Set each mode in dividually. Select time-out period in the section for each
mode stated below.
Minimum power savings. Inactivity period is 1 hour in each mode (except the
hard drive).
Video Off Method
This determines the manner by which the monitor is
blanked.

DPMS Support
This selection will cause the system to turn off the vertical and horizontal
snchronization ports and write blanks to the video buffer.
This option only writes blanks to the video buffer.
Select this option if your monitor supports the Display Power Management
Singaling (DPMS) standard of the Video Electronics Standards to select video
power management values.
