Chapter 1

Introduction

The 82440FX ATX motherboard is a high performance
system hardware based on the Intel Pentium¨ processor and
is equipped with four PCI slots, four standard ISA slots,
Super Multi I/O controller, and dual ports PCI IDE
connectors for future expansion. The hardware dimension
is ATX Form Factor 240mm x 304mm with four layer design
technology.
