Connecting the OEU to ODU(s)

The OEU connects to the ODU using SC/APC fiber cabling. Make sure to keep the fiber ends capped

when not connected to the equipment to prevent damage to the fiber center pins. If fiber connectors seem

dirty, you can clean them using alcohol.

1- Using the fiber optic cable, connect the OEU to the fourth optical port in the ODU optical module.

If you connect the OEU to ports 1 thru 3, it will not communicate with the BIU.
