By default Challenge Handshake Application Protocol (CHAP) authentication is disabled. You
have the following options:
- CHAP authentication - this is target initiated or
one way
authentication
- Mutual authentication - both the target and the initiator will authenticate the connection.
If CHAP authentication is configured on the iSCSI target, enter the correct settings to allow
access to the target.

Option
Description
Target user name
Name of the target server, as set on the iSCSI target CHAP
settings.
Target secret
Target password.
Initiator user name
Name of this initiator (as set on the target). A minimum of 9
characters. Used for Mutual authentication only
Initiator secret
Password of this initiator (as set on the target). A minimum of
12 characters. Used for Mutual authentication only.
