RADIAN™IS
Chapter 3
Radian IS Components
Hold the internal battery curved-side down and with the back
of the battery facing the back of the battery compartment (the
end of the battery with the metal connectors is the back). Slide
the battery into its compartment. When the battery is securely
in place, the battery clip will click into place. If you attempt to
insert the battery incorrectly, the battery will not go all the way
in, and the battery clip will not click. In this case, do not force
the battery! Remove it, orient it properly, and then re-insert it.
After the battery is locked in place, close the access door.
To remove the battery, open the Radian IS access door and
locate the two battery clips between the two battery
compartments. Push the battery clip, holding the battery you
wish to remove, away from the battery. The battery will spring
out of the battery compartment enough to enable you to grasp
the battery and pull it all the way out.
*
Note:
Ensure that you only push the clip that is holding the
battery you wish to remove. If you squeeze both clips at the
same time, you will not be able to remove either battery.
For a graphical representation of this process, refer to your
Radian IS Jump Start for instructions.
3.3
Ports
The Radian IS features an external power port and two
communication ports. All ports are located on the side of the
enclosure and are protected by covers that should not be open
unless the port is in use. The covers are permanently attached to
the Radian IS enclosure.
The Radian IS ports enable input and output power as well as
communication with the system.
