6.7.8 Unit control
The function "Unit Control" is used to meter discrete goods into a container or to control
quantities.
Example: You need to meter 1000 counted parts with a max. tolerance of 3 parts into a container.
Example: You need to inspect several lots for unit count compliance.
In order to start the unit control function, you already need to be counting mode - and therefore
already need to have specified a reference weight.
Press the F5 Unit Contr. key in the Control Function level 2.
Use the number keypad to enter the desired unit count; confirm with the
F6 Save key. Use the number keypad to enter the acceptable tolerance; confirm with the
F6 Save key.
If you wish to specify the plus and minus tolerances separately, you will need to set Program
Settings / Counting / Se/- Tolerance to On in setup mode.
The display switches to the display view Counting; the indicator light function with special
characters is enabled. The appropriate indicator light color with special character is displayed to
match the current status of the scale to target value.

You can also display the difference to the target weight in figures with + or - sign in the top left
corner of the secondary display. Enable the secondary display with the F3 Secondary Display key in
level 4 of the settings functions.
