OPTIONAL: Configure Scanning Settings
The SocketScan applet allows you to specify prefix and suffix characters to
be added automatically to the data that you scan. The applet also lets you
designate any WAV sound file to be played to indicate a successful scan.
1.
Right-click on the Scanner Wand icon
in the task tray. In the pop-up
menu, click
Settings
.

In the
Prefix
and
Suffix
fields, enter the characters you want to be
appended to each scan (128 character maximum).
The default suffix is a carriage return. Only printable ASCII
characters can be used as prefixes or suffixes.

tab
