SMEG THERMOSEAL
A Smeg oven cavity is completely shrouded in 20mm thick
ceramic insulation, wrapped in reflective foil sheeting. This keeps
the heat inside the oven and away from surrounding cabinetry.
Smeg Thermoseal ovens are not vented — they do not allow
external cool air to enter the cavity during cooking. The ovens
feature new Venturi technology which allows excess moisture to
escape into the cooling system and reduces any condensation
build-up. The Venturi valve also contains a catalytic converter
which deodorises any steam before it is released. Because Smeg
Thermoseal ovens do not vent, meat remains moist and succulent.
It retains more nutrients, natural juices — and simply tastes better.
There are no ‘cold spots’, so cakes rise evenly and the even
temperature ensures pastries crisp to perfection. There is no
flavour transference, so you cook sweet and savoury at the same
time.
FULLY AUTOMATIC
The oven can be preprogrammed to start and finish cooking. It is
also semi automatic in that cooking is started manually and then
programmed to finish at a set time.
DOUBLE GLAZING
Two layers of thermo-reflective glass ensure that heat generated
within the oven cavity is contained and efficiently used. Radiant
heat to the outside, ie the kitchen, is kept to a minimum. The
double glazing is assisted by forced cool air between the panes,
further reducing any possible heat radiance and ensuring safe-to-
touch surfaces.
REMOVABLE DOOR
Easily removable, this robust door allows wipe-over maintenance
away from the oven. When removed, more ergonomic access to
the oven cavity is possible for easy cleaning.
