Matching the Resolution
For optimum display quality, set the correct screen resolution. The native resolution is 1024 x
768 (XGA). If you use a projector, set the projector resolution to match the screen’s resolution.
If this is necessary, you can configure the display settings of your monitor according to the
instructions below.
Also, the selected display color settings can affect the quality of your image. Your computer’s
graphics card dictates the number of colors you can select. For further details, refer to the
manufacturer’s documentation.
NOTE:
Depending on the version, each operating system may have slight variations in the
dialog box labels. The steps below describe the basic procedure.
To set the screen resolution in the Windows operating systems

Select
Start > Settings > Control Panel
,
and then double-click
Display
.
The
Display Properties
dialog box appears.

Press the
Settings
tab.

Move the slider to change the pixel setting to
1024 x 768
.

Press
OK
.

Restart your computer, if required.
To set the screen resolution on a Macintosh computer

On the
Control Strip
, press
Monitor Resolution
.

Select
1024 x 768
from the menu.
Your monitor displays the new resolution.

Open the
Apple
menu, select
Control Panels > Monitors
.
The
Monitors
dialog box appears.

Select
1024 x 768
in the
Resolution
area and close the dialog box.
To set the screen resolution in the Mac OS X operating system software

Press
System Preferences
in the Dock.

Open
Displays
.
The
Monitors
dialog box appears.

In the
Display
tab, select
1024 x 768
and close the dialog box.
