Programming / Setup
1.
Insert 4x "C" size batteries in rear battery compartment (10) (remove screw on battery cover to
access) or plug in AC adaptor.
2.
For new bed or chair pads, apply 30 seconds of pressure to initialise the pads
3.
Put the 433-CMU into the unlock position (14)
4.
Select ALARM or CALL (12) on the side of the CMU. ALARM is a siren sound. CALL is the tone
selected using the VOICE/TONE button (Recommended)
5.
Select the desired tone by pressing the VOICE/TONE button (3)
6.
Adjust VOLUME button (2) to desired volume.
7.
Place components in order you want to programme them (pads should be on a flat surface and
all items within reach)
8.
Hold down the PROGRAMME COMPONENTS button (5). Wait until you hear two dings and a
melodic tone, then release button.
9.
Activate first component:
Bed or Chair Sensor Pad
– apply pressure and release after 2-3 seconds
Nurse Call Button
– push button and then release (red light on call button will illuminate)
Motion Sensor
– turn switch on sensor to on and wave hand in front of sensor (this could take up
to 15 seconds) then turn off when the CMU calls the number or sounds the selected tone earlier
Pager with Reset Button
– press and release reset button on the pager
Floor Mat
– turn on the floor mat transmitter and step on floor mat until CMU alerts
10.
The CMU LCD display will numerically show and speaker will audibly announce the
component alert number. When programming pager with reset button, the CMU will ding but not
show a number
