8 Opening and Closing

8.1 Opening the Sunny Boy

Wait until the LEDs, display and, if applicable, the error signal have gone out.

NOTICE!

Electrostatic discharges can damage the Sunny Boy!

Internal components of the Sunny Boy can be irreparably damaged by static discharge.

•

Ground yourself before you touch a component.

DANGER!

Lethal danger caused by high voltages in the Sunny Boy!

Before you open the Sunny Boy:

•

Switch off the line circuit breaker and secure it to prevent it being reactivated.

•

Switch off the supply voltage to the fault signaling contact and secure it to
prevent it being reactivated (if applicable).

DANGER!

Risk of lethal electric shock!

A hazardous electric arc can form if the DC plug connector is removed without first
removing the Electronic Solar Switch.

•

Remove the Electronic Solar Switch before
opening the lid and removing the DC plug
connectors.
