Troubleshooting

Electrical problems
Motor does not start. The tool is not plugged in.
Plug the tool in.
Use a different power outlet.
Fuse or circuit breaker tripped. Replace house fuse or reset tripped breaker.
Brushes worn.
Contact SKILSAW Authorized Service to have
the brushes replaced.
Cord damaged.
Have cord replaced by SKILSAW Authorized
Service.
Tool slow to start.
Soft start feature of the tool.
No action required. This is a normal function of
the soft start feature.
General problems
Blade hits tool base. Blade misalignment.
Contact SKILSAW Authorized Service.
Angle of cut not ac-
curate.
Fence misalignment.
Adjust miter scale pointer. See page 12.
Cannot change miter
angle.
Miter lock lever is tightened.
