2. Set the saw on its side on a flat surface with
the guard facing up .
3. Using T25 torx bit, remove the screw from
the calibrated depth bracket and keep it in a
safe place in case the saw needs to be re-
verted back to its original configuration (Fig.
6a) .
4 . Insert the torsion spring assembly as shown
in Fig . 6b .
a . The threaded end, with blue thread locker
painted on, should be inserted into the open-
ing in the calibrated depth bracket .
b . Keep proper orientation of the ends of the
torsion springs: the short end must be touch-
ing the foot of the saw .
5 . Tighten the torsion spring assembly by using
the wrench provided with the saw (Fig. 6c).
