WARNING

Have an authorized SKI-DOO deal-
er inspect fuel and oil systems in-
tegrity as specified in

MAINTE-

NANCE SCHEDULE

.

Storage

During summer, or when a snowmo-
bile is not in use for more than three
months, proper storage is a necessity.

To prepare your snowmobile, refer to
an authorized SKI-DOO dealer.

To facilitate the inspection and ensure
adequate lubrication of components, it
is recommended to clean the entire ve-
hicle.

When storage procedure is complet-
ed, block muffler with clean rags.

Lift rear of vehicle until track is clear
of the ground. Install on a wide-base
snowmobile mechanical stand with a
rear deflector panel.

WARNING

Do not attempt to lift the vehicle
by hand alone. Use appropriate
lifting device or have assistance
to share lifting stress in order to
avoid risk of strain injuries.

NOTE:

Do not release track tension.

Protect the vehicle with an approved
cover to prevent dust accumulation
during storage.

NOTICE

The snowmobile has to

be stored in a cool and dry place and
covered with an opaque but ventilat-
ed tarpaulin. This will prevent sun
rays and grime from affecting plas-
tic components and vehicle finish.

Engine Storage Mode

600 HO E-TEC Engines

Like other 2-stroke engines, the 600
HO E-TEC has to be properly lubricated
at storage for internal parts protection.

The E-TEC system offers a built-in en-
gine lubrication function can be initiat-
ed by the operator.

To engage procedure, do the following:

1. Place the vehicle in a well ventilated

area.

2. Start the engine and let it run at idle

speed until it reaches its operat-
ing temperature (watch the coolant
temperature on the display).

3. Push the SET (S) button to select

odometer mode.

mmr2009-004-002

NOTE:

The storage mode does not

function in other modes (trip A, trip B
and hr trip).

4. Press and hold the SET (S) button

and simultaneously depress the
HI/LOW beam switch repeatedly
several times.

5. Release switch and button when

PUSH “S”

appears in the display.

mmr2009-004-003

6. Again, press and hold the SET (S)

button 2 - 3 seconds.

7. When

OIL

appears in display, re-

lease the button and wait the end
of the procedure.
