6. Assembly
6.1 General information
Before assembling/setting up the minimal
quantity lubrication systems, referred to
in the following as the MQL system, the
packaging material and any shipping braces
(e.g., plugs) must be removed. The packag-
ing material must be preserved until any
discrepancies are resolved.
CAUTION
Personal injury/property damage
Assembly and connection of the
system may only be performed by
qualified and trained personnel.The
instructions in these assembly in-
structions must be observed.
6.2 Assembly location
The MQL system should be mounted so
that it is protected from humidity and vibra-
tion but is also easily accessible, allowing all
further installation work to be done with-
out difficulty. All visual indicators must be
clearly visible and all controls must be easily
accessible.
The following conditions must be met:
○
The fill level of the reservoir must be
clearly visible.
○
The MQL system is mounted in a vertical
position.
○
Any assembly holes must be made ac-
cording to the diagram later in this text.
○
Design specifications of the manufac-
turer must be observed when installing
the MQL system.
During assembly and especially when drill-
ing, always pay attention to the following:
○
Existing supply lines must not be dam-
aged by assembly work.
○
Other units must not be damaged by as-
sembly work.
○
The product must not be installed within
range of moving parts.
○
The system must not be installed near a
source of heat nor in a location subject
to rapid and severe temperature fluctua-
tions.
It is recommended that the system be in-
stalled directly on the machine’s housing.
○
Observe the IP protection class of the
product.
○
Maintain safety clearances and comply
with statutory regulations for assembly
