9.7 Dismantling/assembly of gears

Please note!

Pay attention to the correct mounting
position of the gears when assembling
them.

SMD 1B
Set to bypass mode

•

Set to bypass mode - as described in 9.5

•

Loosen cover bolts and remove together
with plastic cover

•

Remove or clean existing gears

•

Carefully clean the gear chamber of depo-
sits and particles

•

Insert the cleaned or new gears so that
the

auxiliary holes point to of the cover



one of the gears bears 2 little metal

shims. With every rotation of the gear an
impulse is generated by the little metal
shims passing below the NAMUR switch.

•

The gear equipped with the little metal
shims must be inserted in such a way that
it sits under the NAMUR switch

housing’s o-ring seal

Mount cover

• Place cover on the low meter’s housing

•

Insert cover bolts (4x) in holes

•

Tighten cover bolts with a torque wrench

Tightening torque

Reset to normal operation
