Slot Disarm
Slot disarm affects the protection module (PRM) and consequentially, (only) the relays
which are associated with the channels in that slot.
Slot disarm can be set through one of the following:
Via the local display selection keypad which is located on each condition monitoring
module, as shown in
Condition Monitoring Module (CMM)
For detailed information refer to
Local Display and Local Display Selection Keypad
chapter
.
Via a digital input when configured as "slot disarm" which is described in
Important - If a digital input was configured for slot disarm, then the new
configuration to be downloaded/synchronized must have the same digital input
configured as "slot disarm".
Via Modbus register 257 as described in
Imported (Write Single) Modbus Register
Via Ethernet connection from @ptitude Observer.
The characteristics of slot disarm:
Latching cable fault may be triggered during slot disarm. User must reset latching
cable faults manually before the release of disarm.
Latching cable fault issued before disarm is kept during the slot disarm mode. User
must reset the latching cable faults manually.
Alert relay status is unchanged by a slot disarm and subsequent changes in channel
alarm status will not be reflected by the relay whilst the disarm remains active.
Danger relay status is unchanged by a slot disarm and subsequent changes in
channel alarm status will not be reflected by the relay whilst the disarm remains
active.
Not OK relay status is unchanged by a slot disarm and subsequent changes in
channel alarm status will not be reflected by the relay whilst the disarm remains
active. Note however that a latching cable fault condition can be triggered during a
slot disarm, so the user should check and where necessary reset any such latched
faults before re-arming the slot.
Note that whilst a relay state change cannot be triggered by channels in a disarmed
slot, a relay that is latched in alarm at the point of disarm (the channel at this point
is OK) will still change state if a latching reset is issued.
Disarm relay on protection module is triggered only for slot disarm mode (not
channel disarm mode).
Protection module and relay module must be configured properly before slot
disarm is released.
Enable/disable of slot disarm does not affect individual channel disarm status.
For the behavior of slot disarm relay, see the table
Relays chapter.
